Lee called mid day to let me know that Ann Erb hit the wall at Cecil today, told she was ok but the car got a little banged up. We wish them well and hope the car can be fixed before the next race.

Just met Ann and Hubby at Cecil as we pitted next to them. I am sorry to hear the news as they were excited about just completing the car. Their energy and excitement will get that baby back in action ASAP.

Adam, Bill and crew wish their best!!

Hey everyone - thanks for the concern and well wishes.  I am ok, a few bumps and bruises, but i am fine.

The car needs some work.  Fenders, grille, bumper, rad, tranny cooler, tires, wheels etc . . . Holy crap that list is longer than what i realized.   Undecided

Basically what happened was: we were probably one of the first five or so cars down the track for the day. There was no rubber down on an allready hot greasy track. First gear spun pretty bad, i got it straightend out, pulled high gear (powerglide) blew the tires up in smoke and then went left, spun around, not sure how, then hit the wall head-on in the other lane. That is the best that i can recall, it happened so fast, there probably will be video on it.

When the car got straight and i pulled high gear, i thought it would be fine from there, because it normally would settle down after the shift.  We found some more power in the car from the week before and it reacted totally differant at the gear change.

We are going to try our best to get it finished before Mason Dixon.  We need a grille and it is a one year only grill.

Thanks again everyone  -  it really is overwhelming to know that their are so many caring people here and at the track in general.

We also want to give a special thank you to Erica and Dave Coleman.  They were, and are, there for us and are a huge help.  Thank you guys so much.

Ann and Steve

Ann, glad to hear you're OK. I know how tough it is to get a 1970 grille, good luck getting it back together.Looking forward to seeing you guys again, hopefully at Mason-Dixon.   Steve Sachs

Not the cool green AMX Javelin!!! Shocked  I am a closet Kelvinator / Nash / Rambler fan!!  I noticed Ann's car at Cecil and saw that it was running pretty good.  I hope it is not too bad and I am sure that there is a grille for that car somewhere.  Good luck getting it ready!!

Thanks eveyone!  Progression is moving along well.  The racers and AMC community are really helping us get through this.  The last hard to find part needed will be shipped to us UPS today, a good friend of ours is sending us the grille we need free of charge.  So many people have offered us help and the support that we are receiving through email, phone calls and forums like this is amazing and it is very helpful.  The way things are moving it might be possible to have it ready for Mason Dixon.
