I have a new set of Mickey 28x11.50 slicks, after 3-4 runs they started vibrating really bad. I assummed they needed to be balanced. Well put them on the machine Sat, they both had heavy spots, one inboard one outboard. I balanced the rims, they were true. Even removed the tubes, by the tire itself has extreme heavy spots in them. I checked the run out on my axles, verified the rear hadn't shifted. Any thoughts?

Of course, not warranty on drag tires...

Sounds like you have killed the sidewalls. You might want to look into the 28x10.5x15S (Stiff sidewall) part #3055S. I think you'll have better luck with the stiff tire. Stiff sidewall tires are recommended for stick cars or cars over 3000 lbs.

If you are planning on running the 10.5 class the tire you are currently running wouldn't be legal anyway because it's 11" wide.

Not sure which class or any that Guido wants to run (Even though he is a legal D/R car), think he is just looking for an answer to his tire dilema. We need to convince him into buying a set of 275/60 Goodyears, lol.

I hear ya Rich. Glad to see they came onboard and are supporting the series !
I would love to try a set but from the looks of things this year, my racing is going to have to sit on the back burner for now. Uncle Sam, along with some other problems have hit the wallet where it hurts.
Looks like the car is gonna stay on the jack stands for a good portion of the year. Hopefully I'll be able to do some fall racing if I can manage to get my financial stituation back above sea level.
You have a great series going for the N/A gang ! Keep up the good work !

Thanks, I wish it was that easy Rich. I was really looking forward to running the full season with you and the rest of the N/A gang this year. You have a great series going !
I've gotten myself into a pretty deep hole, I've just got to dig my way back out of it.

Trust me I know what ya mean, we are a family of little means and try and to do way too much with that little, so we get in over our heads often, just dont answer the phones and thrash to get the work done and out the door, work a little extra to get back on track, eventually I get caught back up, but dont take long for me to be jammed up again. Oh well, I have become accustomed to it
