Hey all,
I may have another litel project coming up and I would need an 8.8 housing, or maybe even a complete 8.8 if it is all in good shape...
I have been away from the mustang world for a long time, so I have a few questions.
1) Where would be a good source, not counting junk yards?
2) Does anyone happen to have an old one laying around that they wouldn't mind unloading for a low price.
3) What is the going price for these? I keep hearing a dime a dozen, but I doubt that holds true, anyone know?

3000 dimes will get you one in 'decent' shape, all stock. aftermarket axles and spool will run you 6 to 8000 dimes  |

Brian, I think that would be a little out of my reach, since I would need to buy the rear then pay for the welding on top of that to swap over the mounts for my car since this is for the Formula not the stang. Plus this is going to be an experiment with an idea I have to get rid of the torque arm for my car, so I would hate to put that much money into it just for it not to work out in the end... Thanks for the offer though... |

Lee, Does Eric monitor the email from the website? I sent a message out on Monday and have not gotten anything back. I figured email would be easiest since I would not be pulling him away from work to answer the phone, that and he would have access to the images I posted above, but I may just have to call... |

I have an 86 Mustang Gt I am getting ready to strip down. It has an 8.8 with weld wheels attached to it if your interested. I also have the 5 speed and 5.0 EFI that will be coming out of it also.

Michael,
All that sould be good, but how fast do you need to act on it? I am pretty short right now since I just spent a lot on getting this trailer. Although the trailer didn't cost me much, the 1000 truck tires to support the weight of the trailer, the air helper springs, the gas to drive out to Ohio and back, plus the gravel and lumber needed to park it out back all came out to be about 1700 more then we had to spends the day before x-mas, and I need to see how our budget looks. But since we are on vacation on the west coast right now and my wife just wants to relax and not even think about money, her family paid to fly us out for the holidays, we haven't discused anything else yet...
