I couldn't get enough of the spot where the music breaks (about 2:43) and one hit of the drum BANG! the lights go amber, second hit, drum and guitar BANG! the back tires hit and the car's GONE!
WHEW!!! must of watched that part 20 times.
Gave me the spring fever already.

It was at the Motive Gear Super Bowl of Drag Racing where both the NMCA and NMRA run at the same event.

I'd love to get to that race one of these years. I'll need to check the schedule, see if it's in the cards this year. I was supposed to have been driving a car for Paul Svynicki (Pauls high performance)at that race the past couple years in NMRA Mod Motor, but could never get the schedule to work out.

Heck no. I got slaughtered in the Super Bowl run-off with the winner of Hot Street Charlie Booze. What they do is take the winner of Pro Stock and the winner of Hot Street and pair them up for the ring. Charlie's best run was a 8.83 and my best was a 8.73 so they stagger the tree a tenth. Now I thought I was was focused but as soon as I saw him move it drew my eyes off my tree and I was toast. I was .172 and he was .009. I went a 8.77 and he went a 8.80. I couldn't have beat him if I was perfect on the tree. My wife said you could add up all the rt's of all my runs for the weekend and it wouldn't total a .172...lol.. From 1st qual to final rd against Bruce Miachle I was .012, .031, .000, .014, .036 and .025= .118. No fooling, they staggered pro tree is tuff. Index racers really have to focus, I hope no one thinks index racing is easy.

Sad OOPS ! just rechecked the vid , you run Pro Stock so that means that was the NMCA final to get in to the super bowl final

I'm going to look into it Jeff.I do need to be there,I was really upset that I missed the very first one
I'll call "Bangin" see if he's going,we usually hook-up and share drivin duty for trips where I'm driving Pauls cars @ the same race.     (almost always NMRA Bradenton)

YEAH BUDDY,a tenth is near impossible to hit second,I don't know how some of those guys do it,Robert Hindman, Shane Williams, Lupe DaVila, they say they don't have much trouble with it.
Something that close puts me right in the hole. First guy out has the advantage.
Good job gettin to final ! That Miachle is a tough customer, and it goes without saying what you were up against next to king Booze Grin

Angry I just checked the schedule, and now I remember why I keep missing the super bowl.
Last 2 yrs I've been on a mission to put my Ford in a Super Chevy winners circle. Worst thing is it seems like the powers that be don't like my mission, because both years I've gone deep into eliminations in 2 classes and then broke. Maybe the Racing gods are pointing me in the direction of the Super Bowl !
