Wow!  This is kind of a loud alarm we better get crackin'.

I still need to polish my wheels LOL.

No really my car is at the doctors.  I am debating replacing and noisy rear or going into the season with it making noise..it did all of last year anyway but these damn things are so expensive!!

Remember guys, there is a demand for spectators here at the opening. What we do here as far as gate $$$ will determine how the rest of the season will play out. So bring a friend and her brother and their cousin and so on. I will have tickets on sale soon for the first event. And I am open to group purchasing of tickets if some of you have creative marketting ideas to get folks there, just call me with your ideas. We want to send tickets in the direction of people that would not normally come. Last year was ok, this year lets make it Jam Packed!!

Locking in the match race would help.

Here is what would help...we all are on various forums.....write up a small press release that talks about the NA Shootout, F.A.S.T and 422 and what each one has to offer and we can post them on the forums.

Something like
"THREE RACE ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE"

A little about each org with links to each orgs website.

Rich

you know I would love to but I don't know enough about FAST and 422...come to think if it, I doubt I can do our classes justice...I am an index racer.

How about this, you ask the 422 and FAST guys to give you a 2 paragraph press release to describe their series and you do one for NA Shootout and I can trim it down to a small post we can drop on other sites.

Rich the link to the store on www.nashootout.com reads RAW HP Apparel.  Maybe it should be named since Apparel is no the only thing for sale there.  Maybe just N/A Store

I have never really had success using it either.

Edgar,

F.A.S.T. is Factory Appearing Stock Tire, their website is :www.fastraces.org/.  I saw them the 1st time when we were @ Virginia Motorsports.  Great group of people and (show quality) cars.  Very Cool!!!

Hope this helped,  See you soon @ the track!

boy i wish all i had to worry about was rebuilding the rear.  what started out as a patch the rust and paint has turned into a major deal.  replacing lower quarters all the glass is out, new windshield, taking the paint off of the car.  whoever painted the car last about 20 years ago cleared over the stripes.  talk ab out a mfer to get off.  parts are on backorder for the new stripes and trim stuff.  the trans is out.  took me 5 ups shipments to finally get my wing and all the supporting parts together.  need new seat belts.  need to change the oil and put new plugs in.  uhggggggggggggg.  as my daughter says.

leaving for bradenton march 26th.  still waiting to hit the paint booth.  have to put all back together and have the new vinyl roof installed.  need to drink a beer i have a headache now Wink

it was a hard decision.  when i started racing this car in 2000  i was labeled mr. green.  we were going to paint it black.  but that required way to much work to do it right.  then i was going to do a darker green, but still would have required alot of time.  so after getting yelled at by my wife who got a tatoo of a lime green bee on herself 4 years ago Wink we have decided to keep it 1970 sub lime green.  we filled the antenna hole.  installed a go wing.  new door handels, mirror, windshield, tailights and marker lights.  going with the wrap around the trunk stripe instead of the c stripe.  the nmca labeled my mr. green back in 2003 because we died are hair green when we raced.  although its harder to do that now that i have  less and less each year.  we even died the dogs hair green in 05.  i am also the ringleader of the south jersey hit squad racing team.  we are only about 15 to 20 strong but when we show up in a group we usually do some damage.

this car is puts me to the test mentally.  i want to make it fast and it has been 9.60 with a big stroker but we were told not to run it any more due to lack of safety equiptment.  the car is a numbers matching short block v-code car.  which for those non mopar peeps meens its a real 6 pack car with the original motor. i have the heads off in the corner.  so im always at a crossroads with the car.  do i go the distance with a full cage and big motor  or just go fast enopugh and be happy witha 10.0 car with the next motor.  and then everyone says just build another car.  of course this is advise from people who have no car or havent spent a bazzillon dollars trying to go fast without screwing up a perfectly good car worth real good money.

cmon april Cool

bad, in my opinion [ that don't mean much to some ] i would leave it as stock as possible[ being a #'s matching car] if it was a hodgepodge of different parts & i wanted a faster car i might lean the other way !!!!!  what i've seen, the more you push the envelope the more unreliable the car becomes, unless you have monry to burn, a reliable ,consistant race car is the way to go !!!!!!!!!!! just my 2 cents !!! shadow  Shocked    Shocked  Cool

thats why it messes with my mind.  the car is the most consistant car ive owned and the most reliable.  and ive kinda found a home withthe protree.  and when i decide to put the bigger motor in to go 10.0s if it doesnt work it will be right back to 12.0 index with the ol reliable motor.

my only concern with the car is if i wreck it.  but as my buddy says   it is what it is.

i already have almost 20 races scheduled for this year.  which if you compare to the less than 8 races a year in the  last 5 years ill be very busy.  last year i was so busy with work and family that my car sat on the trailer between races.  id go to a race come home sit it for a month than go to the next one.  seat time was always an issue(the lack of)  the last time i was in my car was the virginia weekend.  the next time ill be in it will be the end of march.  hopefully my luck and car will continue to do me well this year.  i think ami this year will have full fields of some of the best index racers on the east coast.  last year was tough competition and with the new people i see it looks to be even tougher.  will make for some great stripe racing.

bad, you made it to #3 with this combo, what would be the advantage of running 10's ? if AMI was strickly a heads up class as is the others, i could see it.  if you were a 10.0 index car , the majority of the cars you would run would get the headstart, making you the chaser, if you stayed at 12.0 you would be the chasee, in most cases the better of the two!!!!!!  cutting a good light & leaving first puts alot of pressure on your opponent, not only does he have to catch you, he has to make sure he dosen't breakout!!!!!!!!!!     goodluck with your choices !!!!!! shadow   Shocked  Shocked

Rich,

How is tech handled for your races? Doesn't seem like a whole lot of time to get all of the cars teched before the 1st round of qualifying after the gates open.

Thanks

Track tech is generally open immediately and they knock em out pretty fast, hope they can keep up.
