after reading the battery post did not realize that fastfairmont worked for s&w.  just some winter boredom post but just curious,  what do we do and where do we do it to make money to go racing.  you never know if we could support each other or if ever got jammed up somewhere who we could call or buy services from..

for example:

ralph seran   aka  mr.green/badbee
ralphs auto service/towing and recovery
auto repair and towing services
850 s. delsea dr.
clayton nj 08312
duties: running it into the ground as my father says(doesnt get the racing thing) Cheesy
manager of towing operations
856 881 6769 shop    856 207 1517 cell phone
ya never know when you need a tow in south jersey

John Pszenyczniak - Systems Analyst for Accenture Technology Solutions, consulting on technical solutions for applications at a Large Pharma company in DE. I am the technical team lead on all projects writen using the .NET framework for the client. In my spare time I run and update websites for a few small businesses and friends.

However my passion is with cars, I would rather be working on cars, dealing with racing, and making my own parts, but I chose this path to pay the bills. Maybe one day it will.  Lips Sealed

Eventually I would like to start a small side business, hopefully more, where I make a few of my own parts to sell to others in need, but that is a long way off I'm afraid...

Tony Manizza

Employed full time at Jim Wild Well Drilling. I do many different tasks at my job, mainly drilling water wells for residential housing but we do some commercial drilling, Also installing well pumps, running an excavator, driving a lowboy and dump trailer, repairing and maintaining all our equipment. And when things are slow and the boss isn't around I work on the racecar. shhh don't tell him! Actually he tells me to work on it sometimes. My boss really takes care of me. Lets me use the shop to do whatever I want.

                                                 GET WILD FOR WATER!

My part time job is at Al Valk's Garage. There I just do after hour stuff. Mostly heavy duty towing/recovery the last few months. But I also can do truck road service and light duty towing. Whatever they need me to do, I can do it. They also let me use there shop to work on my own stuff.

Hey, Brian Correll here. I'm a Maintenance Mechanic for Zeks Compressed Air Solutions in West Chester, PA. We build dessicant and refrigerated air dryers. I go around and fix the equipment when it breaks, build all kinds of stuff around the shop like safety guards, fixtures for CNC mills, install new equipment, perform PM's, do mods to anything as needed. I run a mill, a lathe and Mig & Tig welders although I'm not real experienced yet at these, I have a great teacher there. I also do electrical upgrades to the facility, you name it I do it. Tom Salvo works there, too. He'll be running in 10.5 this year. I fix what he breaks  Grin Just kidding Tom! I live 1.5 miles from work. I say this because it feels good to! I used to work in a little town called Coopersburg near Allentown. I used to commute 52 miles one way. I did this for 4 years. I Don't Miss that Commute!!! I worked for a small semiconductor company where we remanufactured SemiTool wafer processing equipment. Again, you name it, I did it from stripping down the equipment to the bare frame to rebuilding it to customer specs, testing it, and travelling around the world to install & service it. I was in the semiconductor industry for 14 years. I met my good friend Kurt Butler in this industry about 12 years ago. We both worked together in the mid 90's for a few years.

Brian Conrey from Bensalem Pa.  To some this might be odd, but strangely enough I am sixth grade teacher.  This alone is not at all enough income to support my expensive habit.  I took a little extra time to complete my college education, during this time I started my own small hardscaping bussiness on the side.  I also had short stints working for some professional raceteams which provided me with some very valuable hands on knowledge, specifically with engines.  To this day my small bussiness is what finances my spring and summer racing.  I look at it as unexpected income and use most of this hard earned money to dump into the sport.  Being a teacher and having off all summer, while still getting paid on top of what I earn with patio and driveway installs is a blessing and the only way possible for me to do what I enjoy!

Matt Jewell you might know Jerry Jackman of Jackman Custom Cycles.  I think his shop is right next to yours.

I work for BP Solar (We make Solar Panels) as a Silicon Casting Process Engineer.  I make rocks for a living, high purity silicon rocks. Bill Perkins works here too in the Quality Department.

The ingots we make are used to make wafers much like the business Brian C. used to work in!

Yes I know its ironic that I work for a Green Industry Company and love to burn un-replacible fossil fuels.  Thats what the parent company is for!

Hey whats up I'm Tom Salvo and as Brian mentioned I also work at Zeks. I weld all the components that make up the dececant dryers. Its a pretty demanding job. Everything has to be leak free and is tested up to 400 pounds and is checked with nitrogen. So if you have a leak your doing the job again, and thats not fun.

I'm a manufacturing engineer for a dairy fluid milk plant. Basically in a nut shell I do all the trades of a machinist, millwright, electrician, steamfitter, and an operating engineer. When your dealing with a perishable product time isn't on your side. So you have to be able to alot of things in house. I do all of the above, but my main things are stainless steel sanitary pipe welding and industrial refrigeration.

I am currently an under-employed Mr. Mom. I quit my job almost 8 years ago to keep from having to put our kids in day care. We have two girls with the youngest starting kindergarten in the fall.

I help a friend out at his body shop 1 1/2 days a week. I do mostly restoration stuff specializing in rust repair, panel replacement, custom patch panel fabrication, general fabrication, welding, parts cleanup and painting, mockup, assembly, general mechanical work, etc.

Prior to having kids I worked 6 years doing high end car audio and electronic (early 90's) then moved on (for another 6 years) to doing residential and commercial security system installs as well as CCTV, card access, etc.

Looking forward to finding something this fall to allow me to get a few more hours, but still keep a somewhat flexible schedule so i can get the girls on and off the school bus each day. Yea, I know, pretty tough to come by such a job.

yeah I have catalogs from them and many other classic mustang parts places, the issue is with skill, I was trying to teach myself how to weld and got a 110V mig welder that could do the job but it keeps having issues, right now the speed control is broken and it keep pushing the wire out soo fast it does nothing but make a molten pile of spaghetti, so if there are guys on here that know this stuff asking for help is better then screwing up a nice car...

Darryl Jewell - I'm a Construction Executive for one of the largest fire protection contractors in the Mid-atlantice region.  Basically in charge of offices in Frederick, MD and Miami, FL.  Long hours and high pressure deadlines, but not a bad job overall.  Flying to Miami twice a month gets kind of old sometimes though.  Also work as an Adjunct Professor at Montgomery College teaching Construction management (gives me the extra $$$ to play with cars).  Worked many years ago as a HVAC mechanic (still carry my MD HVAC journeymans license).  You know the spiel; jack of all trades but master of none! LOL.. The plant I work at got bought three years ago and I got that alot with the new people. Sitting in project meeting and being 10 to 15 years younger than everybody else I guess. They didn't know I had a head start, my dad does the same thing and I started learning this trade early on.

In high school I was a volunteer fireman and was going to turn professional, I enjoyed it but it wasn't for me. It very hard seeing people in their worst moment, or just lost everything they have worked for!  I still get that rush when a engine goes by though!
