I need help locating a 289 or an early 302 engine block. Early meaning pre-1980. I know these are getting hard to find now, but I need to find one for my new engine. I have a few late model 302's but I'm really nervous about using one of these for the power I'm going to be making. They split very easily, I know cause I split one a few years ago right down the center almost in two pieces! I have a 289 block but it's really in bad shape. I don't think I can use it. If anyone has an older block or knows where I might be able to find one. Please let me know.
Thank You,
Brian Correll

I was just wondering what you next setup was going to be like?

BTW, I did a quick search on a few of the classic mustang sites I also post on for my 67 and there is nothing there for sale right now...

Brian, not to take this thread too far off topic, did you ever get around to unmounting those slicks, no hurry I was just wondering...
