I guess that could very well be an AMI head if push came to shove, but is an entire other subject, but just so everyone knows, I am not completely afraid of imports and fwd. Enough demand and they will be sitting in the opposing lane without too much redtape.

NO WAY.....thats what I am saying, if you can make an import run ON MOTOR the existing indexes, then you deserve to have a place to race. I would guess there wouldnt be many in the A or B class, LOL.

Anyone remember last year when Fred Simmons Jr. showed up at a NMCA race to run O/C? What an uproar that caused and he lives fairly close to our races.

I am not an import fan at all but I am a fan of someone who can take something like that and get that kind of power out of it to be able to run those kinds of numbers without any aids. Most of the import world is surrounded by turbos. I dig the ones who are doing it on motor, they aint got much to work with so they are definately doing their homework.

just my 2 cents, does it really matter as long as they meet the rules ? if lets say you run c/ami & the car in the other lane is an IMPORT is that gonna bother you ?   just keep focused & take him OUT   shadow  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Yes Redgar that is the rule as it stands but just like we incorporated our AMI class into the program, we could also accomodate the fwd. But ONLY if they can run the number and there was enough demand. I dont see that happening because there arent that many around that can make that kind of steam on motor. So like I said its an entirely different subject at this point. If it becomes something worth looking at then we will worry about it later.

I'm glad I brought some life to the boards. I hate Imports too. Last I looked our Dodge Neon was Made in USA. oh well Lee's a year or more away from a 13.00 neon NA car  But it is fun trying to design and build it.  As it stands now I think a 13.00 with a good driver may have a chance of winning a round or two. But how many 13.00 FWD "good" drivers can there be? Gary Rudy, Scott Mohler, Tim Kish. Neon driver names I remember Fearing. I don't see them coming to Ram's AMI.
We all could use a duck or two For a first round pairing's. It's getting OLD running the same people every race. Come on in new blood.  Just my .02  and we know it's only worth .00.
With the way work is now and my great stock market picks Shocked Cry  I did invest my 2008 race money first week of Jan, the 06 truck money after payoff, and did not do well so far, First bad year in 10. Yes I allways invested my race budget in stocks for the year.  I do not think I'll have the money to watch the race let alone run.

That Guy is Tim Kish I named him in my post above.  That's a DOHC auto neon IHRA  Super Stock car  and it's not fast enough for AMI   Let's put a stick in it and??? nah to hard to get SFI legal. But don't you think it would be fun to chase down?  anyway it's one good looking car anywhere he want's to run.
