would like to run this class, what times do i need to run to be competitive? also i would like to run a aero scoop but it can't be higher than 5'' from the base of the hood as per the rules. so if i mount a small aero scoop on top of a 4'' cowl hood, would the base of the cowl be considered as the base of the hood? im thinking probably not, but i just thought would ask.

You guessed correct, sorry.......But would like to invite you onboard. The class is composed of 8.70-9.50 cars generally. Dont be afraid to ask questions  Smiley

thanks richard. hopefully i'll have my new combo somewhat sorted out by the season opener. if not i'll attend anyway and check out the action. i have a 70 duster with a 394 small block and a jerico with a 9'' with a caltrac  rear suspension and a stock front susp. i should be in the middle of the pack. the rules say its a all run field, how many cars usually are in that class? thanks again and i think this an awsome series and website.

Think our worse turnout was like 9 cars and the best was 29 cars. On the average we see around 16. Sounds like a killer piece you have there, any chance you could post some pics? Or if you are seriously considering....There is plenty of room on the front page for Press Releases  Wink

thanks shadow, looking forward to racing in the 10.5 class. I do have another question though. is there going to be an engine diaper rule for this class. i know some of the nhra sportsman classes have to have them and then i heard  that it would be up to the track owners to enforce the rule for non nhra sanctioned events. atcos is saying 9.99 or 135 mph and faster must have oil retention device. e-town says they are not doing that unless its a sanctioned event. MARK.

Nothing will be enforced at any of our events from what I see so far.
