yeah I will seperate them, but they are both quality peices that work good together. If I could get $1,500 out of the tranny and $500 for the converter, I would let them go.

I WAS WONDERING, YOU SAID THAT JIMMY HAS REBUILT THIS TRANS MANY TIMES. HOW MANY PASSES DO YOU GET BEFORE IT NEEDS TO BE FRESHENED.

I originally ran this trans with a 414 cid windsor that made 675 hp and spun up to 7300rpm, and I could get 150 to 200 runs on it (usually a whole season or more), after I destroyed that motor I got a 440 cid windsor from Charlie that makes close to 850 hp and turns over 9000 rpm, which is just too much for any c4, and I've been getting 30-40 runs on it. So I am switching to a th400 that should handle the rpm better. This c4 trans will handle the horsepower, I think its just the high rpm that works hard on it. Just look at the efi renagade guys that run a c4, they make over a 1000 hp, they just don't turn that many rpm. So it will hold up good for any of the ami cars and even some drag radial cars or 10.5 cars.

RPM is what kills them.. I have found anything over 8K and they are going to be toast... Other then that they are killer strong..
