Sounds like a good deal, I was quickly looking over some of the things I need and can not find the price on rod end jam nuts, I found the rod ends but can not find the jam nuts, do your QA1 rod ends come with them?

Typically, we throw them in for free when you purchase the rod ends. How about $.99 each.

Tom,
I was also wondering about your Rear coil over kit for the 4th gen f-body...
Does it use the stock chassis mounting in any way, or is t a custom built mount? From the pics on your site it almost looks like it replaces the stock shock with the coil over, but that brakcet on top of the shock doesn't look like it will work in the stock shock location. Where does it bolt to?

free sounds good but .99 each will work too if you are charging, how do I include that in my online order?

OK hopefully one last question before I continue with this order, your site banner rotates and says "Free Shipping on all AFRC Products/No Hidden Handeling Charges", but when I have the itmes in my shopping cart checkout it has a section on shipping, it is only a few bucks and I don't want to take everything out of your pocket, but I was just confused. I am OK paying the shipping since I am getting a discount, but others who visit your site may see that sort of thing and run...

PM me which size jam nuts and how many you need.
All AFRC products should have free shipping, if not, point out which products so I can fix them. If the products you are ordering includes shock or something is in the kit we do not make, then the shipping is for that part only. (IE. back half kits, coilover conversions and such you are paying shipping on the shocks and springs only)

This is what shows up on screen 3 of the checkout process since screen 2 you have to select shipping and there are only 2 choices UPS Ground or UPS next day air. I am just waiting on the OK from the teams treasurer before I actually place this order then I will have to talk her into the coil over kit...

Just to clarify. The chrome moly rod ends come with free jam nuts but the mild steel ends do not.
Also the 3rd - 4th gen coil over conversion bolts to the stock shock mounting points with the assistance of our custom brackets. It will get rid of the stock shocks and springs and be a direct bolt in piece.
Thanks Josh

Josh,
Thanks for the clarification... I may be interested in the coil over kit, I just need to ask around the f-body community to find out what options would work best for me since I am not sure what spring weight I would need and if double adjustable is absolutely needed at this stage of the game...
if you have any suggestions on what would work best, PM me...

Sorry, the rod ends are made by QA1. AFRC is our brand name for the stuff we make in house. (Maybe I need to clarify the header on the site better) Josh left for the day, I'll let him handle the Coil Over Conversion. He'll know exactly what you need.

Mike, I have the weight, but not 4 corner, does that metter? It is roughly 3020# with me in it, and with the 4th gen motor being pushed back further under the cowl it should not be too far off balance. Plus I know I am going to get a heavier rear and a cage at some point and I was going to 4 corner scale it at that point...

All 4 Corners would be nice but i should be able to get you close with the total weight. With you being 3020# with you in it i would go with a 150# spring with our kit.

Tom or Josh,
Can one of you PM me with the cost of the Aerospace Components Brake Kit for a 4th Gen F-body, 95 firebird to be specific... Your site says call for pricing because it is too low to post, I am trying to get my order ready for tomorrow and want to be sure I don't miss out on any good deals...

Tom and Josh,
I'd still like to know what you can do on the brakes for a later point in time, but I think due to current race funds I can only get the rod ends I need, and the SA coil over shocks at this time. It looks like if I didn't spend over $500 in the last month on trailer tires due to the blowouts both to and from Cecil, I might have been able to get more, but I can only stretch things so far...
You should find my order in your system tomorrow morning...
Thanks again for the discount, and the support of the race series, and I will definitly keep you guys in mind for future orders...

You say you made those they look good. I don't know how your car is but I wish my adjusters were more in the middle of the arm it is a pita to adjust the suspension at ride height with the adjuster almost in the bracket and inches off the ground.

Well lets say home assembled (not made), I ordered some of the parts from a machine shop (since I don't have the tools yet) to the specs I needed, 1-1/8" O.D. .220 wall Aluminum Tubing, 1" Hex on both ends, tapped for 3/4" right/left-hand thread, to the lengths I needed. I got the rod end reducer/spacers from the machine shop as well to fit the 3/4" rod ends and with 12mm opening for the LCA's and a 14mm opening for the PHB, I then ordered the rod ends and assembled everything for cheeper then buying the same things from a company that makes them. I have also thought about selling off a few sets, but the rod ends are the most expensive part it would have been well over $150 if it wasn't for this sale from AFRC, and the rest of the stuff was less then $100 from the machine shop. So, I think it came in under $250 (but not exactly sure since I haven't really looked at a full breakdown) for fully adjustable, rod ended, lighweight (yet strong) LCA's and PHB. Where the same things from some companies are about that just for the LCA's and another 150-200 for the PHB...
