Rich,

Do you know if it is a direct bolt in to a 67 mustang that is converted from a 6cyl to an sbf?

We were thinking of swapping the 6cyl out of our 67 when we rebuild it, but wanted to go with a manual trans, this might be a good tranny to run before doing the manual conversion if it fits...

I'll do research on my end, but if you happen to know let me know...

John/Rich, it's a small bell c-4 meaning it requires a 157 tooth flexplate/10.5" bolt pattern converter as opposed to 164 tooth which came in trucks. John it is a direct swap, I'm not too sure about the trans cross member. May be exactly the same but ask a Mustang resto shop to be sure. I have a flex plate if you need one.

Thanks Brian,

My 67 has a C4 in it now, but the bolt patern is different between the 6cyl and the sbf, but I am pretty sure they use the same crossmember. Thanks for the info on the flexplate/converter patern though, that is helpfull info if I get this or not...

All pre '70 c4 transmissions are 24 spline on the converter. However some are 24 spline trans and some are 26 spline trans.
