gas prices on long island. 4.19 regular and diesel 5.19 the lowest i've seen. i know jersey probably .60 cheaper. how about  P.A. and  maryland? it would cost me about 500.00 in gas round trip to beaver springs maybe a little more. its about 5 hrs from L.I. just not going to spend that money till i know i can be competitive in 10.5. i rather go to atco or etown and test more. good luck to everybody racing on the 14th.

$4.01 for reg. $4.91 diesel! Out of hand I agree! For MIR witch was about 3 weeks ago it cost me about $330.00! Thats for The truck, generator and golf cart. Then about $100.00 for the car. Pretty bad when race gas isnt twice the price of pump gas! WTF!

MANIC, i suggested a track closer for you guys coming out of the ny area, ISLAND DRAGWAY !! RICH has a list of tracks & the racers get to chose the ones for the upcoming year at the awards banquet . rich said he added it to the list to be considered for 2009 !! hopefully the prices will stablize soon !!    SHADOW  Sad  Sad  Sad

hard to believe premium fuel was around 2.00 a gallon only a few years ago. I  go to carlisle P.A. every year for the mopar show and i would fill up my truck which has a 34 gallon tank for 40.00! and make it there on a full tank. doubt if i'm going this year. if they have a race at atco or island that would be good.

What makes me the craziest is that regular gass is up .70 from a year ago  but diesel almost $2 from a year ago.

How do we blame oil prices for that ?  Simply put, someone is have a party and gouging our own country

diesel vehicles  have come a long way in 10 years. they are quieter than ever, have more power and get better fuel economy than ever, all the while having to push around 5000 lbs. plus have the ability to tow 10,000 plus lbs. and some of the diesel cars like the VW are getting 40 mpg. so the oil companys see that more people are buying diesel cars and trucks than ever before, so the demand for fuel is greater so they just raise the price. and its not like there is a shortage, there is plenty in the reserve and gas to. they play games. holiday weekend, prices go up. warm winter, prices go up. cold winter prices go up! what pisses me off is there is absolutley nothing i can do.  had to vent!

$ 104 to fill up my p-up with 87.....wasn't even on E yet  Shocked

The part that PO's me the most is the oil company's making BILLIONS in profits per quarter.
