I don't see why not, or it would be made clear in the rules...

Does not give any advantage in an index format...I think it would be legal.  Ya still gotta run the number.  Wink

Let's when I hear 10% setback I think ..........10.50 index.....10% setback.......mean lost 1.05 in ET...yeah that's a problem...LOL

But of course that is not what you are talking about...LOL

If it is really a concern, call Rich.

REDGAR, what i was talking about is a car that had the original engine location relocated further back in the chassis, 10%, which calls for an altered firewall, this was something they did in the EARLY days of the MUSCLE CAR wars, they also altered the wheelbases. it was a weight transfer thing.   SHADOW   Wink Wink Wink

CLIFF, i believe the 10% thing was the max allowed back then, not sure but i think guys building tube chassis cars nowadays, are setting the engines back to some degree ? it seemed to help back then, we knew the guys that ran the " HAIRY CANARY "  it had the engine set back in it !!!!   SHADOW  Wink Wink Wink

LARRY, the " HAIRY CANARY " was an AFX comet body with a 337 ci CORVETTE engine, it ran in ether C/Gas or C/MP modified production, ran alot at ENGLISTOWN & ATCO in the 60's  SHADOW  Wink Wink Wink
