I was very surprised to see so many fans go thrugh three individual rain delays two of them POURING, and stick around for the all out eliminiations. I bailed when they announced the low 9-second class having a long drive and many many things to do today. Saw several AMI stickers there

I think he meant overall there were a lot of AMI banners in the field. I left at 9pm and they still hadn't ran Round 1 of the All Out 16.

My means are dried up at this race but Kent is right I meant AMI banners thought the track not in the class. I did not stay long enough to even know what cars were picked. I do know this...I was car number 407. Car 406 and 409 were picked LOL.
406 was a Camaro driven by a woman name Maria, whose group was nice enough to invite me under their tent during one of the rain delays. Very nice and friendlky racing group.
I am pretty sure 409 was pitted around me tood but not sure who that was..could have been a pick up truck on my other side that was tweaking on the car all day.
We all arrived Saturday morning.

Kent I did not see the NASCAR #3 car that was there. I thought it was pretty interesting to see someone dragging the x oval car. Also glad you did not shoot that florescent orange car...it lit up the whole track....LOL by the way you don't need an slr to get great shots....just the sun  |

That clone car only ran 13 something he missed 3 out of 5 gears going down track and it smelled like he never let his foot off the clutch, I don't think my camera would have lived after taking a shot of that road cone orange car. Thanks for the help and comments [ ]

He probably said that because the picked the fastest cars they ever picked, but from what I saw in the stands there was no way that was the closest group of 16 in e.t. IMO

Shadow did you read this thread? I stated earlier what time I left. I also know that racers don't normally get to see much of what happens ooutside of their own program and I wasn't racing...

Use of repetitive exclamation points indicate one of two things......yelling or excitement....I don't think you were yelling so I went with excitement.

i can tell you that i know as a fact the red s-10 and classic blue olds can both run mid to high 8s when they so choose. why they didn't step it up in the money rounds is beyond me. but i have to think there was a reason.
