Pretty sure the track wasn't ruined and although I do agree they were told I don't feel the punishment fit the crime. Public humiliation??? Come on. Talk with the guy and explain to him that he was warned and now he's banned then make an announcement that the driver of that car was banned and anyone else that does the same will face the same consequences, don't walk him out in front of the crowd and on TV and humiliate him.

Guys I have never watched the show, believe it or not, but what happened, what are you referring to? Sounds interesting. Who would of thought TV and Drama go together, haha. Anyways, seriously someone fill me in.

I've not watched the show yet but from what I have read on the internet....

they have a rule where if you oil down the track you are banned from any of rich's shows.  he tells us that in the beginning, we know it cause we watch the show.  He is a stickler about antifreeze as we all know it is hard to clean up and they are filming a tv show and they have production costs and any oil down cost them.

So normally when you oil the track down he just basically says you are banned over the loudspeaker.

It appears, Rich called this guy to the front and put him on camera and mic and yelled at him for doing it and told him he was banned and then gave him the mic and asked if he had something to say about his spilling antifreeze on the track and causing a delay.

Racers are in an uproar because he "called" him out.

 actually it happened TWICE that day , the first is the incident REDGAR is reffering to,[ older fellow ] the second was a young kid , think he was 19, was interviewed in the tower, both got a 2yr ban, i think RICH is getting on people more this season, because these delays can be preventable, it takes quite a while to clean up ANTIFREEZE, they also have limited time to work with being a 1 day event, [normally]  i think he's trying to get a message out . 1ST offense ,2 yr ban - 2nd time life time, same individual.   RICH, running a 1 day event every minute counts, so i think you can relate to the frustration of timely delays !!!     JMO    SHADOW

i was at  MIR  pinks all out and i  one day is not enough time to run all the stuff they have on the schedule. should be a 2 day event.
 we only got one time run, mostly because of rain. there was also other stuff that got to run and had nothing to do with racing for the money.
i guess its all about tv.

Its always about the money. Follow the money! The prize money they pay out vs the profit the tv show makes is pocket change. You can bet that not one bit of prize money comes from the Pinks people. Controversy gets more people watching, more watching = higher ratings = more advertising dollars = more profit. The interesting thing about their making a profit is their payouts dont increase at the same percentage ! I certainly have no issue with making huge profits, just dont forget about the little guys who without them there would be no profits.

I havent had time to watch the show lately but agree putiing someone on the spot on National tv is punishmentabove and beyond the "crime". Just having your name announced over the PA for all to hear who caused the delay should be more than sufficient to ensure he got the message. Back about 20 years ago I saw a racer fail to pull over after blowing his motor. Oil from before the eighth all the way to the return road where they stopped him.They shoveled the nasty speedy dry into his trunk for him to dispose of. It wasnt his first offense. Not to mention most everyone po'd about the 1 hour delay giving him flack. Sent a loud and clear message to everyone there that if you think your car/motor has issues get off the track.

Agree antifreeze is nasty to clean up.

I saw the show.

While it was not nice, it is not about nice on the show, it is reality tv after all.

We all do it for one of two reasons. 
1. we wanna win 18K in cash and prizes
2. we wanna be on tv

mainly the money, tv not so much, not one shot of the car at E TOWN, not a shot at the money either. glad some of the RAM racers got in !!!!    SHADOW

I gotta say I was so excited to go to Mir for the event but after watching how things went and how Rich changed the rules as the day went on and played favorites I was disgusted. It was a huge turn off and can't say I'm even interested in watching the show any more!!

Disgusted is what I was feeling this past weekend at the Grove,I almost got a chance to put that bald headed punk in his place, I thought for a second there we were going to throw down !

DAMN he gets on my nerves !

I'd like to get all the run sheets from qualifiing to have my suspicions shown as fact ,but from what I saw the groupings had as much as 9 tenths spread and some car #s were put in the wrong class and "DICK" acts like his system is infoulable when he told us that they just push a button and the computer picks 4 groups in the tightest range. Sounded great till I saw cars in one class that were both slower then me and faster then me... so how is it mine and two other cars running the same exact E.T.s were not in that class ?
The format was great but the exicusion was screwed up.
The hot lapping was kind of tough but it was exciting helping all my friends get through it.
Congrats to Kris Kurswig for the win !  (same guy who was R/U at MGs Pinks all out 2 yrs ago)

They call it arm drop live... it was really another pinks all out with a driver vote to split the money to 4 classes plus a quick 8 and a slow class.

This format could be alot of fun with alot of racers getting the chance to compete.(over 100 cars)
Refinement in the management dept. would go a long way.
