I was pondering a thought of a race series that brought back the modified class Of NHRA. Using nostalgia cars of the time. With a possible class or sub classes for later production cars to show what it would be like if the class survived. Same race format. I was trying to find a old rule book or a PDF that show them. Any info or possible partners or just somebody interested to talk about it let me know. One stipulation all stick shifts. Thank you for your attention. Cheesy

Peaks my interest, considering my car is a surviving C/Modified Production car.
I've been contemplating turning back to a stick, this might be the final push, cause I think I can still be competetive in AMI with a stick (Sadono does that very well)
My dads 55 is also a E/MP car
I know "Mother Nature" '57 2dr chevy wagon is sitting in a basement
The "Rats Nest" '54 corvette is being restored
I think the little Opel "Hesitation" is still around.
The Moose corvette is still kickin
You get the idea
If it follows the old comp eliminator style format it might be a little expensive for me but exciting, I would consider a solid attempt though.

Well I am trying to get a hold of a old rule book with the class in it to do research. I tried to get a hold of Bob Lang. No answer yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Aaron Shipley Wink

Hi Aaron,
I just talked to Steve @ Hudson Performance and he said he has to find them but he thinks he has rule books from both the '70s and the '80s, he said the rules were different in each of those periods, early on it was M/P-Gas-and Alterd under Modified, then went to a Comp Eliminator format.
I'll keep on it.

You might also find someone at http://www.classracer.com with old rulebooks and likely others with "parked" MP cars. MP was one of my favorite classes in the late 60's early 70's. Mid 70's(75?) A/SM was pretty cool too.

Somewhere I have a 1975 SuperStock magazine with the first set of rules for A/SM in it. IIRC I think the cube limit was 366 but cant recall the weight break.

BTW Creating a series you will need sponsors. The racers and tracks are out there and easier to obtain.
