Tina and I are big ghost hunting enthusiast and are putting together, along with the Paranormal Investigators of the Mid-Atlantic, Sunday night ghost hunts starting on 3/21 and would like to invite any of you that would be interested in attending.

PIMA's website is http://pimidatlantic.org/

Join us for an investigation at the Historic Octoraro Hotel / Tavern in Oxford, PA

We will review past evidence captured at the hotel and you will get the opportunity to be a part of a paranormal investigation of the main floor hosted by PIMA   The cost is $20.00 per person - 10 people maximum per evening.  Come see if “Octoraro Eddie” or any other of our spirit guests will make an appearance!

Interested parties please contact me and I will forward info to PIMA,
Rich

This sounds like fun. If I can get someone to take the drive with me I am in!  If I can't, let us know how it goes  Grin

Latest info on the eveing:

Okay.  the 21st is good.  right now, we are thinking you could start arriving between 7 & 7:30.  We will be setting up (covering the windows, etc.) At 7:30 we'll start going over some of the history of the building, and show some of the stuff we've already caught there.  We'll also take some time to walk everyone through the basement first with the lights on so you can get a feel for things down there because it is a narrow walk area and very dark once the lights go out. The investigation would probably start around 8.  We are figuring about an hour on each floor (main & basement).  We should be done between 10:30 and 11.

Bring any equipment of your own you would like... flashlights, recorders, cameras, camcorder, etc.  We do have a couple extra flashlights.

Sound good?  We do have some flexibility if the time frame is not convenient.  We just want to make sure we have enough time to cover everything.

We are definately looking forward to it. Tina and I have been to Ft. Delaware for a hunt and had a blast there, we have also been to Eastern State Penetentary, but on a holiday tour, we really enjoy these old places. Thje Octoraro is listed in the book "Chester County's most haunted places.

Here is a link to one of there previous EVP's from there:

Sunday night's hunt was a blast, we spent about 3.5 hours on two floors of the Hotel including the basement that has part of the underground railroad tunnel passing thru it. Once I figure out how to create .wav files I will post some of the EVPs we retrieved there, pretty freaky sh!t.

I will post after I meet up with PIMA on Sunday night to share notes. Supposedly they have some video as well that may be para-normal. I will get them up as soon as I can. As a giant skeptic, never in a million years would I have thought I would enjoy such a hobby.  wtf

Will do Dave, it is a hobby that is very uneventful, but usually gets good when you are reviewing the evidence. We are trying to put together a group for our next outting which may be down your way in Delaware.

This is what we found: The voice you hear at first is Stephanie Klecko, Brian's wife and then you here
halfway thru, another voice chimes in with "gen run"? or whatever, What does it sound like to you?

The next is hard to hear, but its weird how all of the noises around got louder. Listen for a man's voice saying "Lets turn it up".

Hear is where we hit gold. The hotel is in all the books being haunted by "Octorara Eddie". Listen to what we caught about 15 seconds in on this one. Yes we caught "Edward" digitally  howdy

I know for fact the Red Rose is haunted.... had a friend that worked there for years and always told us stories of the this he saw and also the owners son who lived upstairs stories... they hung Injun Joe from the tree out front, I beleive he raped and killed a little girl who roams the place. every night at a certain time he would hear footsteps scamper up the steps, and would wake at night to see the image of a young girl in the doorway...you should get some real good stuff from that place, since its been empty for some time now it should be really creepy.
