a special thanks to UNITED TRAILERS of Indiana and ANTLANTIC COAST TRAILER SALES of Mass.

Long story short... as a repeat customer of atlantic ordering a new stacker trailer from united.  basically ordered a custom stacker back in february, sold my trailer in march (i think).  promised a delivery date of april.  that came and went.  finally picked it up on may 17th, to find all kinds of things wrong.  doors mis-aligned, leaking lift, wrong color cabinets.  just a complete clusterfuck.  well being in a situation of NEEDING this trailer i take it home.  i pose my complaints to the dealer, hoping that there is some easy solution to all of this.  well last thursday it all sounded great as they were coming to get the trailer to fix whatever was wrong, and they were going to get the trailer back out to me asap (this week).  well i get a phone call yesterday from my dealer that united has decided to keep the trailer, and that i am not getting it back and they wont build me another one.  now aint that some shit?  guess they were pissed becasue i released NO money on this trailer due to the DELAYS in manufacturing, and later learning of all the imperfections of the trailer.  some of the problems were the builders fault and some of these were the dealers fault for not ordering the trailer correctly.  so now what do i do?

i plan on spreading bad news everywhere about these two wondermuts of the world of trailers.

in the end, i have 3 cars to take racing this year, and one trailer to get them there.  im sure i could find something used.  but really this is a 25k purchase, i custom ordered this thing to what i wanted.  i dont want to just settle and deal with whatever is available.  and just throw large amounts of money for something i dont really want.

I would try and find another trlr. manufacturer and let them know of your situation and see if they have anything thats closer to being done and can make the necessary changes within that period of time and let them know, that our entire organization is looking to see who can pull this off and may make wave for future purchases from our community of racers. Not saying it will work, but there are some people who understand and will try hard to help.

Good Luck sir,

Sorry to hear it did not work out.  They actually let you take it home without paying?

So you parking all three cars or would you race one with the trailer you have?

well with all of the problems with the delivery dates and then the problems with it being just not what i ordered, i released no money.  after talking to united this morning, they eluded to the no money part.  i reminded them, that my obligation is to the dealership, the dealership is responsible for satifying the manufacturer.  the dealer has never once asked me for a dime, based on this whole situation being a mess.  i figured they were just waiting for everything to be made happy, and then we would settle up.

i asked united if i could still get the trailer....i was told no, it was gone!  they sold it already.  any lawyers on here...lol

You must of signed a contract/sales agreement with the vin code on it of that trailer, if so then thats a binding contract with the item I would think.
