I am sure many of you here may be familiar with the name Jimmy Chahalis. Jimmy has been racing/tuning/building mustangs sine the 80’s. People who he has done work for will note the time and effort that is put into every job he does from full builds to gear swaps.
With that being said… we have learned this week that Jimmy has been unfortunately diagnosed with Leukemia. His brother-in-law has asked me to put up a post on his behalf…

Quote
Though I have heard of Leukemia, I have never known anyone to have this form of cancer. It is with great sorrow that I would like to inform everyone that Jimmy Chahalis has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Jimmy is a loving father, great brother-in-law and an amazing friend. As he begins his road to recovery, he will be in the hospital for at least the next 3-4 months. In knowing Jimmy, though he will never ask for help, he is thinking about how he will be able to support his family during this time, and further more how much the medical bills will be. I have told Jimmy to focus on his treatment and not to worry about anything. It is for this reason that I am reaching out to everyone… family, friends, colleagues, acquaintances, etc. for your prayers and for any donation you can make. Anything you can spare: $1, $5, $10… even a gas card for his wife to go back and forth to the hospital will be a tremendous help. The road ahead will be a tough one, but there is no doubt in my mind Jimmy will be back. Please join me in assisting Jimmy and his family through this difficult time.

If all you can do is put him in your prayers then please do so. If you would like to donate anything, please send paypal to myself at freezy306@aol.com, or you can send a check to his brother-in-law:
Joe Collura
2350 Bordeaux Dr.
Macungie, PA 18062

Thanks again for your help and please keep Jimmy in your prayers.

though i do not know Jim, just reading the word Leukemia hits very close to home for me and my family.  there are various forms and depending on age.....very successful treatments.  ATTITUDE and PERSERVERANCE go a along way with this disease, not only for the patient, but for the family and freinds.  surround him with positive, that is the best antidote...aside from letting the doctors to thier doctor stuff.

best wishes.
