I can only guess, but I say it will be either you, Larry, Leonard, Jay or Henry that will be puttin it down. I know that dont narrow it down much but...

I am sorry Todd, with the right starting line and getting the proper adjustments to keep the tires from unloading the record and or win could go to you as well. I wouldnt put a sure fire bet on anyone at this point, and with the air coming in, its anybodys game.

I have never gone in to the 30's at Ram weight yet. The best was at cecil in the fall at 8.43 but if it is cool and the track is good I think I can beat that at Mir. I have gone 8.37 at  beaver springs at 164 on a killer night at 2900 lb.

Jay, I agree with you.  The problem is the bigger motors are way too light.  You can't throw weight at my combo since it is heavy for the weight it is at now.  I get 50lbs over the BBC conventional head where over in the NMCA I get 175lbs.  That combo makes 56 more hp and 800 more rpm on the same pump.  If an NMCA legal 525 showed up it would be ugly.  So what do you do, put more weight on the big motors and take more off the sub 380" guys?  The small motors have a problem getting to weight now.  Pennywitt out in Michigan who was 100% RAM legal with weight etc just went 8.16 last friday night with his 632!!!

There is a legal BES 525 running with us now. It was bought from someone who was running real well over there.

Even if it isn't one of Baskin's 4 motors that make 1176 each, it should still be dominate.

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure its Chandlers previous piece, but I could be mistaken of its origin.

Chandler's was down on power compared to Bruce, Stanton and Baskins.  It always seemed to run around .1+/- slower then the others back in 2007.

BES built the motor (524) earlier of this year, it made 796 Trg 1145 HP on the BES Dyno. Hopefully, when i get the suspension right and loss some weight on the Chevelle it will produce some better numbers.

But no doubt his motor still has a chance here to be a player. Regardless of what appears to be correct or not, we have always kinda worked within the group of cars we have but knowing that if a different combo attends that we are well enough informed to approach the weights for it. And you are also correct in assuming that.....to change your weights, other than with the BOPA seperate agenda, but by changing according to cubes we effect everything behind you as well. And we know its not safe to send HJ and Todd and Doug down the track at 4000 lbs. So we have a pretty close grip on things right now and the difference between everyone is minimal so we have had some really close racing, but we are still aware that it may be a continuing effort to keep things fair. But I do want to thank the entire field of 10.5 racers from over the years for sticking together and always keeping this car count up, there are times when its lower than usual but it always bounces back. There are plenty to draw from with other orgs. offering the same thing. But I want to thank you all for being very sportsmanlike and always understanding when we make changes or allowances, and they are always minimal, but you guys take everything in stride and always move forward and continue to be the largest heads up class out there. Thank You to all the 10.5 racers for helping make this class the best out there, and a GIANT thanks for Leonard Long and G-Force trans for having the faith in the class, supporting it, competing in it, and noticing its ability to be the best.

I "think" chandler went a .69 with his motor at 3500lbs with a glide back in 2007.  At RAM weights, it should be a player.
