We still have some people who do not tow from the scales and like to drive across and then continue on. If you are a racer who does get towed back, please be kind enough after you are scaled to pull forward and off to the side to wait for your crew so the people who do drive thru can get thru in a timely manner.
Thank You for your consideration, Rich

Rich,
Could you please give a quick overview of the towing rules?
I've not towed the car before, so I wanna make sure it's clear what we are and are not allowed.
thanks Todd

Well Todd, it would normally consist a tow strap of some kind with two hooks at either end, then one would hook onto a tow viehicle (in a secure spot....frame) and then hook onto the racecar..........preferablly on the front. Once you have everthing in place (tow viehicle, driver of tow viehicle.........racecar, driver of racecar.......tow strap), put the racecar in neutral and proceed forward at a safe speed back to your pit area. Now the driver of the racecar must pay close attention to the tow viehicle...........because the driver of the tow viehicle will have to apply the brakes every so often, I personally have not seen brake lights on to many tow viehicles. Once your back safely in your pit, then you may put the racecar back into park position on the gear selector.
I hope this help's you buddy !! LOL

I looked over the rules. Correct me if I'm wrong. We can tow to the staging lanes. We must drive across the scales from the track, but can tow back to our pits from the scales.

Yes Todd, you may tow to the staging lanes. Drive to the scales from the run, then pull off the scale to the side. Hook up and tow back to the pit. Don't past the scale with the tow vehicle without seeing the Ram official at the scale first. Hey Mikey, I got brake lights on my tow truck just like the car, but your already familiar with the ones on the car.
