The N/A Shootout acquired the Prilosec Sponsorship during round 3 of competition. They called beginning of week to tell me but I couldnt say anything til the 19th..........So   

It may not be a large amount but definately could be useful. I had originally wanted it for the year end awards, but I am under the impression its gonna take a while to recieve yet. I was on the fence about returning the series in 2011, but with this happening and the need to thank them, I am leaning towards using this towards a head start on next years sponsorship drive. Who knows it may end up being "Prilosec AMI", lol.....who knows.

But I just wanted to thank all of you for your help in acquiring this. For those of you who voted, I thank you, Shadow, Mike C and many others who voted every single day.....YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!

We may as well stop voting and give someone else a chance since we have everyone covered this round by 3x the amount of votes. We are at 240 and the closest is like 90. But I just got the Fedex package in the mail this morning and there is a book of paperwork to fill out and send back. Then we will await our check. In return we will have our own blog page where we have to discuss how Prilosec has heped us out and continue to keep them informed of our season.

This is good to hear Rich. It is even better that I had a lot to do with the first US manufacturing of Prilosec. The drug was originally licensed to Merck from Astra and I was on the team that developed the equipment and manufacturing process for the drug back in 1990. I actually received a special achievement award from Merck for my efforts. Small world. We no longer make Prilosec but we do make the next generation Nexium. So now I am not only helping to make people healthier but helping them race too.

If we added up all of the votes from the first 3 rounds plus where we are at in the 4th so far, I bet we voted atleast 1000 times. Thats alot to ask for, I really do appreciate all your hard work. I found myself forgetting about it at times myself, but luckily we won.
