As of now yes, not sure with the finalized deal may put us. You CAN count on all of Cecil races to be on a Saturday.

Well, seeing as mine is in a million pieces right now, hopefully that gives me time to try and piece it back together.

John I am going the conservative route at the moment, shall there be an abundance of sponsor $$$ we may make it a seven race venue with a race starting earlier in the season, so remember its tentative....very

Rich, are you going to look at the June 4 race date??  It conflicts with the only close NMCA race.

June 4 date also conflicts with Nhra Super Nationals at E-town.So my guess would be not many fans going to Cecil.

Thanks guys for keeping your eyes on these things, yes I will see what I can do with MG race on the 4th. Maybe make it sooner and that in itself would help John not wait so long, lol. MG stuff will not get changed til after the new year though.

Hi Rich,
Being this is my first post, I must say the 2011 schedule looks great! Keeping the series local (even though I'm in NY) should help with car counts. Speaking of car counts...how do you feel about allowing open headers in AMI? I believe it will allow more racers to run the series that normally would not. Maybe put it to a vote? Just my .02 Thanks and Happy Holidays!

no open headers.  every body else runs them (mufflers), AMI  can run them also

Hey Bob, welcome to the site and to the series. I can tell ya right now, from my standpoint, because I have put things to a vote or had polls for things in the past.........Its kinda like an inside joke that you are not aware of.......Dont put anything to a vote, nor start a poll about anything to do with rules here in the forums, the outcome is never good.  order Now whenever someone wants to be a smartass to me, you will here them say "Lets start a poll" or "Why dont we put it to a vote" LOL. Yes I have people ask in the past and yes we could probably have a few more racers if we did, but not as many as what would go home just because. Rules are rules and even though some are maybe more important than others, I, we, all of us as a whole, have prided ourselves on sticking to the rules and noone ever has to worry about building a new car because of. I hope you understand, and most first timers do take advantage of our one race waiver, but come second race and you dont have mufflers on, you wont even get the car started before they have already told me about it. I have tried to compromise as much as possible, cones are considered mufflers, if thats too hard to do, then I figure that guy really doesnt care to race with us anyways. Thanks for the inquiry though.

Dave (I have 5 corvettes) Outten finally gave in and put mufflers on one of his, so everybody officially has to use mufflers now!!! Thanks for your interest in the series, slap some mufflers on that thing and lets have at it!!

  Hey Rich,

June 4th also looks like it conflicts with Cecil Sat  Street Car shootout.  This may hurt the AMI class as they will be running 10.0 , 12.0 index then

Schedule looks great!  Looks like Amanda (and Shelby) and I will be able to make them all except the first one.  I wish it was not the same weekend as NMRA Atco....bummer.

Nicole is really pushing me to get back down the track..  I would much rather be doing an old Chevy II, but the Mustang is a good canidate right now..  We'll just have to see come season.. Undecided

YES, no longer tentative, this is the schedule. Ya know what I shouldnt say that, every year they find a way to move us to the back and give someone else our dates. Lets just keep our fingers crossed.
