10.5 is your head lining class. The high tech, expensive to run, high winding, wheel standing headliners for the series. Each pass down the track costs the owner in the ball park of $250 per pass. Usually the head lining class has the highest payout. Like when you tiered the classes in the past. I don't understand the why the entry level class with less of an entry fee would pay the same as the head lining class that can be pro-rated. I also don't under stand why the middle level class that has less of an entry fee would pay the same as the head lining class that can be pro-rated. Just sayin'.

Sponsors have dictated what they want the class to pay and are taking care of the $$$. I too agree that the 10.5 class should pay more. Thank you John for calling today and discussing how we can make 10.5 better. Great ideas and I have shown you now what we need to do. Thanks for offering to help. If you guys want to see 10.5 payout more help us find more $$$. Its not right that Leonard be the only one who pitches in to help the $$$ get to where it is. And as far as "Thanks for taking care of the 10.5 class".....No, no, no....Thank You Guys!!

My intent is to help racers anyway possible and anything we get goes into the budget. Drag Radial racers were upset cuz 2 out of the 3 were racing for 1K, ok so we were able to allocate a few more dollars and I thought it would make more sense to add it to Drag Radial and make it even accross the board. Its not like I took away money from 10.5. I spoke with my crew and asked what they thought about entry fees, we all agreed to get this far first and we would work the rest out in time, but we needed a place to start, so we are starting where we were with the exception that Drag Radial is 5 bucks more to enter at the moment. I am glad to see that we have sponsors throwing there hat into the ring in this kind of economy and I will do what they ask when it comes to using it. But instead of yelling about how it looks or how you feel cheated in some way. Call me, lets talk about it, lets discuss some options of how we can keep the sponsors happy and possibly work on ways to help the racers race for more $$ as well. In 8 years of doing this there have been a total of maybe 500 different racers who have raced with us. But as a whole, only about 5 percent of which have offered to help me by getting there business involved, hooking me up with the right people or back me up and vouch for the series when speaking to new sponsors. You guys are always on the defensive, WHY? The ones that help out stick out and are so well noticed because the majority want to dwell on how bad this is, how poorly I run things, they try and sabotage, whether they know it or not and make it very difficult to do this job. For the hell of it, tonight think about it, what we really have here and with a colaborative effort what you guys could really be racing for here. I know I may not do the best job, but trust me, if you offer to help out in the off season and acquiring sponsors and coming up with new and exciting programs for the racers.....I would not turn ya down So in the next few days I am going to try my hardest to make 10.5 alot more attractive payout wise, a little bit of support would go a long ways right now. Thank you for your time, Rich

If you knew how much time and effort Rich puts into the series you would keep your mouth shut. Only a hand full of people really know what Rich does for the series. I still don't see the point in throwing Rich under the bus every time you guys don't like something. It can't help the series when you do that. He has of phone number call him.
If you don't like it. EITHER HELP TO MAKE IT BETTER OR DON'T RACE THE SERIES!!!!

Jeff we are gonna do a percentage pro rate according to car count. In other words 8 cars would be a full field, but if only 4 show then everything is cut in half. 2 cars would be a 1/4 and 6 would be 3/4. I think that is the most reasonable way to do it. This will be in effect for both heads up classes and AMI if its due to weather conditions.

I think he means that only in AMI, the purse is guaranteed (with 64 cars or less) unless threat of rain or inclement weather. The 10.5 and D/R classes would be pro-rated if they got less than a full field. 8 cars or more is considered a full field in 10.5 and D/R.
