The track has decided to call it early enough to make it easier for travellers. I am not sure about rescheduling at this point. I will have to figure out a way to divide the pay as well as scrutinize the points or should I say lack there of them.

I am truly sorry for this weekends incident and give me a day or two to make some sense of it.

To make a little more sense out of this NA Shootout really wanted to have the race but after talking to the track with the weather we are getting today on top of it supposed to be 30 degrees at 8am sunday morning meaning would of had to delay the start till it warmed up when it did it would of still been tough to race on due to the rain/snow(we get today) and cold weather. Safety is the number one concern here.

it was a good call. the track would take way to long to get it in racing condition.   Can we race with the street car shoot out next sat since all the big classes will not be running?   I think with 10 d/r cars,10 10.5 cars and 30 - 50 AMI cars we could fit it in.. agree

Its not really what I had planned, and I think they may have their own unfinished race from before they need to finish. I hope they can get their program in but I believe its just going to get colder from here on out. I will ponder.

Well I am sure that Lee or Jimmy have already seen your post and will be in touch with me. If not, I will call him as soon as possible to see what he thinks. Remember he calls the shots at Cecil.

I can if its going to be a regular day. If its a rental, there is no way in the world we could get back the momentum we were going to have and would make it impossible to pay for the day. But will make the call today. We may be able to atleast finish MG race anyways.

It is real crappy to continue a race on such short notice for the individuals that initially made the commitment to the series and the initial race.  That being said, I CAN be there Sunday...   jam

As a manager in my day job, and a parent of 2 children I find this quote often applies,

"If you ask a person a question and he does not reply, his very silence is an answer in itself."

OK, this is where we stand, I cannot operate this weekend, my crew is not available and the logistics of what all we had going on wont work andin turn hurts $$$.

But I have sent an email to someone who has a rental and asked if we could piggy back. I am waiting on his reply, but I believe Dave M's comment may pertain to this as well. But as soon as I can get an answer I will let you know.

why does it sound strange Bruce? he's asked the guy and he has to wait for the guy to say if he wants the additional cars at his rental or if the guy even wants to share. sounds like Rich is doing what he can and we should just wait and see. i'm as anxious as the next guy to get out again before the weather is too cold to race

Bruce....I have already posted within this thread that we cannot race this weekend. I have no permission and no staff. So no racing at cecil this weekend for the Shootout, sorry.

I have approached someone about operating within his show but the longer I wait without any response I am thinking thats a no also. If I have no answer by this weekend then I will have to take what info we have so far and total the points somehow. And also split all the money up amongst the racers left in at MG. Not really what I had planned but just letting you know what I will do from here if all else fails.

Of course I will start a more appropriate thread here soon enough but, I want all to know that I apologize for such a weak season of racing. I do have all intentions of putting my best foot forward for next season. I have already started approaching people with new ideas. I can truly say that many of the posts from the racers lately have reinspired me and i think it only fair to really make a serious effort for 2012. I will find a way and I will do what it takes to bring the N/A Shootout back to a place that you all will want to be part of and others will die to get involved. I will post more as I get.

Thanks for your patience,
Rich
