I am a newbie to the racing series. I will be racing in AMI with my 70 olds F-85. Is this correct, I will need to purchase a Track tech card, plus $50.00 for the N/A pionts fund for AMI. I am trying to budget the race season. Thanks. Also I read the rules about waiver on first race. I will not have the mufflers until MIR,If I make the Atco race. Is this a problem Thanks Aaron Shipley

Welcome Aaron...

The AMI race fee is $40 to compete, that is per event, and that allows you to run and have a chance at the winnings for that day.

The $50 fee is to join the points championship, this is where points are added throughout the series. This is a one time fee to join the points championship...

Every track has and entry fee/tech card fee, that can differ from track to track and can be about $25-$35...

So the breakdown is an average of about $75 per event, and a one time $50 if you want to join the points championship which is fun but is optional. BTW points won't start adding up untill you join though...

AMI will allow a one race waiver for mufflers. Of all the items that we can overlook that is probably the most significant. Please try to get mufflers on it if possible, but you will have the one race waiver if not. The heads up classes I will not allow though.
